My name is Eric Smith.
I’m a Home Improvement Contractor who is passionate about helping homeowners realize their best vision for their home improvement projects.
With HANE, I’ll carry your job from the initial meetings through the entire build process. I maintain a personal hand throughout, giving you my full attention and seeing the job to completion and beyond.
I’ve worked on a wide range of home improvement projects, from minor cosmetic repairs to new construction. Serving a variety of roles from carpenter to general contractor, I’ve done kitchen and bathroom renovations, decks, custom built-ins and stairs, and more.
I’ll take your ideas from concept to design. I’ll estimate and quote the job with a price tag that doesn’t mysteriously grow when I invoice you at the end. Then I will work with a great team of individuals to bring the design to construction. Throughout the process I will maintain open communication and transparency. We will navigate every decision point and stumbling block together. I’ll work hard for you and I won’t stop until the final inspection is passed and the job is done right.

I take great pride in my craft. It’s fundamental to me and my own sense of satisfaction. But I provide a service as much as a finished product. I’ve come to understand that much of the value I offer clients is as a guide, advocate, and ally.
I’m dedicated to interpreting your vision for your home improvement project. I’ll provide guidance first as your Contractor, second as a designer and craftsperson. I want to help you achieve the best possible vision of your concept.
I won’t sell you anything. I don’t need to invent problems or inflate the scope of the project in order to make my money. For this reason I will always be honest about what needs to be done and what doesn’t. Additionally, at every decision point I will work hard to give you 2-3 options at varying price levels so you can make the best choice for your own interests. I work with a deep roster of experts so that I can tap into their collective knowledge of building science, design, and construction.
